C aving Explore the mysterious marble caves
What is Caving ?
Caving... is a coined word that combines the words "cave" and "ing" and refers to cave exploration. Hiraodai has about 200 caves that have been discovered, and it is an activity where both children and adults can get covered in mud and enter the earth's interior for a mystical experience. Hiraodai's caves are cool in the summer and warm in the winter, with temperatures around 15 degrees all year round , so you can enjoy them all year round!
*The regular caving program is for children in the third grade or above. There is also a challenge course for children under the third grade.

平尾台の地下にある神秘の地底湖を目指す洞窟探検コースです。水の中を泳いだり、匍匐前進したりしながら進みます。途中にも、いくつか地底湖があり、泳ぎの苦手な方はボートや浮き輪などで移動することもできますよ♪

Seiryu Cave is one of the largest caves in Hiraodai, with a network of underground spaces. Since not many people go deep into Seiryu Cave, you can enjoy the cave to your heart's content by observing the beautiful white stalactites and climbing the small waterfalls! This is a premium caving tour that can only be taken by those who have experienced the beginner's program.

This is a new tour program created in response to requests from people who want to join beginner cave exploration with their children but are too old to participate. This is an easy caving tour where you can enjoy light trekking and exploration.
Target: 3rd grade elementary school students and above Price: Elementary school students 4,000 yen/person, Adults 5,000 yen/person Duration: About 3 hours
Senbutsu Cave is one of Hiraodai's tourist caves. It is famous as a popular spot in the summer, and many people from outside Kitakyushu come to visit in search of coolness. After the lights go out and you pass through the so-called "Hell Tunnel," there are several small waterfalls, and you can enjoy a little cave exploration.

In addition to taking commemorative photos, we will also take videos while guiding you. This will ensure that you have a good memory of your fun time at Hiraodai. All the footage will be provided to you.
A safe and comfortable experience with proper equipment
We provide equipment such as helmets and lights selected by guides who are experts in caving.
We will answer your questions about what to wear and what to prepare. When it gets a little cold, we also have wetsuits available, so you can explore comfortably all year round! You can also take your time to observe bats, especially in autumn and winter.
